We are thrilled to announce a milestone moment for our school: the launch of the LJMA Scholarship Program, made possible through a new partnership with the SD Mayer Foundation.
This collaboration allows us to offer tax-deductible donations dedicated entirely to supporting LJMA students through scholarships. For our community, this is the beginning of something truly transformative.
Why Your Support Matters
Music education at this level can be life-changing but it is also a significant financial commitment for many families. Your donations directly offset the cost of programs such as:

Private Lessons: ~$3,700 per year - Weekly lessons / subject. Many students study two instruments at once—(voice plus piano or guitar—to become confident, self-accompanying performers.)

Squad Harmonix: $2,500–$4,500 per year(Varies by level of training.)

Squad Harmonix Performance Trips: ~$4,500 - $11,000 (Lincoln Center and Carnegie Hall (New York), Fringe Festival (Scotland)

Summer Training Camps: $3,500–$7,500
On average, students who fully participate in LJMA’s programs invest about $12,000 - $25,000 per year.
Your support helps open the door for hard-working, dedicated young musicians who may not otherwise be able to access these life-changing opportunities.
What These Scholarships Will Support
Depending on the funds raised, two types of scholarships will be available:
1. Merit-Based Scholarships

For current LJMA students (2+ years in the program) who demonstrate:

2. Financial Support Scholarships

Need-based scholarships for new and current students to help cover:

The SD Mayer Foundation will process your donation, issue a tax-deductible receipt, and remit the funds (minus a small administrative fee) to LJMA to support our scholarship program.
All donations received by December 31, 2025 will fund scholarships awarded in 2026.
