Santa Monica Contemporary Choir is an adult voice ensemble group designed to bring people together who love to sing in a relaxed yet dedicated format to learn songs with the purpose of being able to perform together in a final performance alongside our Guitar Ensemble Group.

About the event
Santa Monica Contemporary Choir is a relaxed, social singing class taught by industry professionals, designed to bring adults together who share a passion for singing in an environment that challenges them, gives them a goal, but ultimately provides a place to belong and feel welcomed. The class is split into two levels: beginner and intermediate. No experience is necessary, but the minimum requirement is that all singers must be able to match pitch comfortably.
Choir members are expected to practice what was covered in class each week and arrive the following week ready to move on. Singers will be provided tracks to practice, sheet music, and lyric sheets. Sight reading is encouraged but NOT required. Solo opportunities are available for those interested, and at the end of rehearsals, we all come together to practice the songs with the guitar ensemble class. No egos, no drama.
