LJMA Black Tie Spring Recital 2023
All performers are required to purchase a 'Performer Ticket' to be eligible to perform by June 1st. Each 'Performer ticket comes with 2 x VIP Parent/Guest tickets. Additional guest tickets can be purchased separately.

About the event
It's that time of year again and we are so excited to be hosting another fabulous LJMA Spectacular afternoon of music!
If you are new to LJMA, welcome! Every semester the students of the Laura Jean Music Academy prepare 1-2 pieces and perform them on the big stage for their parents, friends, and family members. We have many that travel from all over just to see the show and it has become a firm family favorite.
Please note the new change to ticketing this year. Seating is now general and will be a first come first serve, so please get there early! We now require every student to purchase a Performer ticket. This ticket includes two Guest - Adult tickets. Thank you again for your support, we cannot wait to celebrate with you! .............................
ATTIRE: Glitzy, glam, black tie - FANCY for all - not just performers, let's make a night of it! Performers: No sneakers, shorts, joggers, sweats - we are talking tie, bow tie, suit, glittery dresses, pants suit, elegant gowns, anything that makes you feel glamorous and fabulous.
REFRESHMENTS: Delicious appetizers can be preordered and will be served during the intermission. They will not be available for purchase on-site, so please make sure to get your order in!
BEVERAGES: Wine, beer, and soft drinks will be available for purchase. Those who preorder will have their drinks available at the start of the show. Although food is not permitted inside the theatre, drinks are welcome.
SOUNDCHECK: Required for all piano and guitar students and optional for any soloists who want to try their song out on the big stage beforehand. Soloists must arrive by 2pm to ensure a sound check.
EVENT TIMELINE: Sound Check: 2pm - 3:45pm Guest Arrival: 3:45pm Performance: 4pm - 5pm Intermission: 5pm - 5:30pm Performance: 5:30pm - 6:30pm
AUDIENCE EXPECTATIONS: All students are expected to stay for the duration of the entire event and not leave after they have performed. Please be respectful and stay to support the whole group. There is also a group photo at the end of the show. Children are absolutely welcome, but if you choose to bring an infant, please sit on the aisles and be ready to take them into the reception area away from the performances so as not to disturb if they start crying.
PARKING: There is a public lot next to Magicopolis on 4th Street.
PERFORMER TICKETS: Performers are now required to purchase a Performer Ticket at $90 per student which includes 2 VIP Guest - Adult Tickets (Value - $45 each). (VIP's have the option to sit in the front row seats.)
ADDITIONAL TICKETS:
Guest - Adult Tickets (18+): $20 Guest - Youth Tickets (17 and under): $12.50
PAYMENT: When checking out it will say that the event is free. We have done this because each ticketing website seems to add on several dollars to every item on sale as 'admin fees' and we do not want everyone to be charged more then they need to pay. Therefore once you check out and order your tickets and food we will send you a seperate invoice for your tickets. Â Invoices can be paid directly via Zelle, Venmo or debit/cedit cards. Invoices will need to be paid by June 10th.
COVID-19 PROTOCOLS: There are no requirements regarding COVID at this venue nor will we be enforcing it. Â If this makes you uncomfortable please stay at home.
